Without the use of surgery, intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy is an option for when you want to improve the color and texture of your skin. Frequently noticed on the neck, face, hands, or chest, the visible damage caused by sun exposure can be treated to restore some of this damage. Also, IPL may help if you have brown, red, or splotchy skin because of a health condition. With this in mind, we at Open Door Med Spa would like to shine the light on intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment.

What is IPL Treatment?

With the use of light energy, IPL targets a certain color in your skin. When the skin is heated, your body gets rid of the unwanted cells, which helps eliminate the issue you want removed. Also, it can treat a range of skin conditions simultaneously. Added benefits include you may look younger after IPL treatment since your skin tone is more even. Because the light doesn’t hurt other tissue, you can get better quickly.

Sun Damage: You may see 70% less of the brown spots and redness that are the result of ultraviolet (UV) rays.
