Microneedling Process

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the microneedling process, Open Door Med Spa is here to shed some light on what you can expect when you our team for microneedling services. Some may think that the only way to reverse signs of aging is to go under the knife. That couldn’t be further from the truth. With microneedling with or without PRP, you can see flawless results with a much less invasive approach to getting them. The microneedling process includes tiny needles that puncture the skin. As these small injuries occur, your skin will heal and generate more collagen that leaves your skin plumper and smoother.

Does Microneedling Hurt?

While it may sound painful to have a bunch of microscopic needles puncture your skin, it doesn’t hurt as bad as you might think. Before the procedure starts a numbing cream is applied to your skin’s surface to make it nearly painless.

Microneedling with PRP Compared to Without

When you have a microneedling procedure done on your face, that isn’t the end of the treatment. Once the needling is finished, you will need to use serums that are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin A or Growth Factor to complete the process. When you use PRP, your blood is drawn and spun to separate your Platelet Rich Plasma from Platelet Poor Plasma. The PRP is then microneedled back into your skin rather than using the serums. The fact of the matter is, that there is no cosmetic product out there than can replace the PRP that is spun from your own blood.

What is Exosome therapy?

Exosome therapy is very similar to PRP therapy. It uses the same concept of utilizing growth factors to produce collagen growth that PRP uses. The main difference, is that these growth factors are not derived from a patient’s own blood. Rather with exosome therapy, they are lab derived.

Microneedling for Stretch Marks & More

While the face is often when people choose to have a microneedling procedure done, it isn’t the only part of your body that can benefit. If you have any areas on your body that has weakened skin that could use some thickening, you can benefit from microneedling. Other areas of the body that are commonly treated include:
– Chest
– Back
– Arms
– Legs
– Butt
